Grant Rules
Choose carefully. The Philanthropist Party is primarily a grant-making platform, not a traditional fundraising platform. Applicants select the grant amount they believe is necessary for a real campaign or civic initiative. Funding is provided “all or none.”
The platform is designed to help as many candidates as possible. First-time candidates, local candidates, and candidates with limited financial resources are strongly encouraged to begin with a $500 request to maximize success rates.
RunPurple profiles are intended to complement existing campaign infrastructure, not replace it. Applicants may maintain outside fundraising campaigns on platforms such as ActBlue, WinRed, GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Facebook fundraisers, LinkedIn, personal websites, or other approved systems.
Only one external campaign, fundraising, personal, LinkedIn, or social media link can be connected from the public RunPurple profile page. A link-back from that outside page is required so voters and donors can verify the connection and legitimacy.
Partial funding does not automatically flow to individual candidates. Campaigns that do not reach funding thresholds during a cycle may be aggregated into the general grant pool for future distribution.
Duplicate applications, fraudulent submissions, misrepresentation, or attempts to manipulate the system may result in permanent removal from the platform.
