The Philanthropist Party is not restricted to American politics however the platform is rooted in the warning of George Washington to be cautious of the divisive “effects of the spirit of party”.

Purple Dot Pledge™

A simple pledge for candidates, civic leaders, donors, volunteers, and supporters who want to put values first.

The Pledge

I will attempt to act consistently with my stated values, disclose conflicts when practical, and treat people with dignity even when we disagree.

I will strive to place principles before personalities, facts before assumptions, and dialogue before division. I understand that public service requires humility, consistency, courage, and a willingness to explain decisions to people who may not agree with me.

I reserve the right to change my opinion on any issue or policy topic, but if I do, I pledge to update my public values statement, profile, or campaign record so donors, voters, volunteers, and supporters can see the change clearly.

I understand that a Purple Dot is not an endorsement of every policy position I hold. It is a public signal that I completed the process, published a basic values record, and agreed to be held to a higher standard of transparency.

I will not knowingly misuse Purple Dot Verified™, Purple Dot Certified™, Purple Dot Pledge™, The Purple Dot™, Wear The Dot™, RunPurple™, or The Philanthropist Party™ marks. I will make reasonable efforts to correct outdated or misleading public claims about my status, record, or funding request.

I understand that politics can reward outrage, secrecy, and machine loyalty. I pledge to make a good-faith effort to do the opposite: publish my values, disclose practical conflicts, respect voters, and help make public service easier to understand.
